In force from 29 October 2026; most recent revision: 29 October 2026.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Tiny Desk MeMe. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the tiny desk meme maker available at tinydeskmeme.video (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. Please stop using the Service if you cannot accept them.

2. Service Description

At the moment the Service provides a single tool: a maker that turns one to five portraits into a short desk-concert parody video. You upload one photo for each role you fill, out of five (lead singer, two backing singers, a laughing close-up and a saxophone player), pick the resolution and whether to keep the reference sound, and the Service produces a vertical clip of about 14 seconds. Free-form text-to-video and standalone image generation are not part of the Service at present. Before any new tool goes live, we will update these Terms. You need to be signed in and hold enough credits from a plan or pack to render a clip.

Tiny Desk MeMe is an independent project and works as an interface on top of third-party infrastructure and AI model providers. Although the site is named after the tiny desk meme, it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NPR, the Tiny Desk Concerts series, Charlie Wilson, the Gap Band, or their representatives or labels. Clips are built by OpenAI’s GPT Image 2 image model, which draws storyboard frames from your portraits and fixed reference frames, and ByteDance’s Seedance 2.5 video model, which animates them; both are reached through the API provider Kie. Which models are offered, what they are called, what they can do and who supplies them may change, and except where we state it, Tiny Desk MeMe is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by those providers.

Output from AI models can be wrong, incomplete or surprising, and it may look similar to content made for other users. Review each clip before you rely on it, post it or pass it on.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must have the legal capacity to accept an agreement of this kind. When acting for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to commit it to these Terms.
  • Your account and billing details must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • Protecting your login credentials is your responsibility, as is all activity carried out through your account.
  • If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us immediately at support@tinydeskmeme.video.

4. User Content and Intellectual Property

Any rights you lawfully have in the photos you upload and the clips you generate remain yours. It is up to you to ensure that your inputs, and how you use your outputs, comply with the law and do not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights. Specifically, a photo of a person may only be uploaded if it shows you or an adult who has agreed to be turned into a clip, and a generated clip must never be presented as real footage of an artist or of any other real person. Where a platform offers an AI-generated label for content, please use it.

To let us render, store and display your clips, you give Tiny Desk MeMe and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, process and display your inputs and outputs, solely for operating, securing, troubleshooting and supporting the Service. Granting it gives us no ownership of your lawful content.

The Service, including its software, interface, branding, documentation and original site content, is owned by Tiny Desk MeMe or its licensors. Unless the law permits it or we agree in writing, you may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape or commercially exploit the Service.

5. Subscriptions, Credits, Billing, and Cancellation

  • Billing authorization: Buying a subscription or credits authorizes the payment provider named at checkout to charge the price shown, any applicable taxes and any recurring fees that were disclosed to you.
  • Automatic renewal: A subscription plan starts a new period automatically unless you turn renewal off. You see the interval and price before paying.
  • Cancellation: Use the subscription management portal, or the cancel option found in the pricing or account area, to end a plan. Cancellation ends future renewals and usually takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Credits: How many credits a render uses depends on the model and settings selected. Credits belong to the account that purchased them and expire according to the schedule displayed at pricing or checkout.
  • Payment processing: Payments are handled by Waffo Pancake or by the processor identified on the checkout page. That provider processes your full card details, which are never stored on our servers.
  • Refunds: Who qualifies and how to apply is described in our Refund Policy. These Terms do not limit any mandatory consumer rights.

If you think a charge is incorrect, email support@tinydeskmeme.video before filing a payment dispute so that we can investigate.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

This section is our Acceptable Use Policy. It covers every photo you upload and every clip you generate, as well as any attempt to get around the Service's protections.

You may not upload, generate or help anyone else produce:

  1. Sexual or NSFW content: pornography, nude or sexually explicit clips, sexually suggestive scenes, sexual services or fetish content. We apply zero tolerance to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), to sexualized depictions of minors and to any grooming or exploitation of minors.
  2. Violent or graphic content: graphic injuries, gore, torture, glorification of violence, terrorism or violent extremism, guidance for weapons of mass destruction, or anything intended to threaten or facilitate physical harm.
  3. Hateful or abusive content: anything that attacks, dehumanizes or harasses people, or promotes discrimination or violence against them, on the basis of protected characteristics.
  4. Deceptive impersonation or deepfakes: intimate imagery made without consent, misleading portrayals of real people, impersonation, identity fraud, or deepfakes meant to mislead viewers about a clip's origin or authenticity, including turning someone's photo into a clip without their permission.
  5. Intellectual-property or privacy violations: anything that infringes copyright, trademarks, publicity or privacy rights, confidential information or other proprietary or personal rights.
  6. Illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity: anything unlawful, or that facilitates scams or phishing, distributes malware, promotes regulated misconduct, exploits vulnerable people, or aims to deceive or cause harm.

You must also not evade safety filters, test or interfere with the platform's security, automate access without authorization, harvest outputs at scale, resell access without our consent, or use the Service in violation of applicable law or card-network rules.

7. Content Review, Reporting, and Enforcement

Uploaded photos and generated outputs pass through automated safeguards that combine keyword blocklists, automated safety classifiers and the moderation of each model provider. Because no automated system is perfect, content that is flagged or reported may get a further review.

Report prohibited content, suspected impersonation, a child-safety concern or an infringement by emailing support@tinydeskmeme.video with the subject Content Report. Add the relevant URL or account details, explain the issue and attach any screenshots or evidence. We aim to acknowledge reports within three business days, and cases involving child safety or a credible threat of physical harm are handled first.

Taking into account the severity, any earlier history and the applicable law, we may refuse a request, block or remove content, limit features, suspend or close an account, keep relevant records, or report suspected illegal conduct to the competent authorities. Where an account is tied to child exploitation, terrorism, credible threats, fraud or non-consensual intimate imagery, we may suspend it without warning. You can contest an enforcement decision by replying to the notice or by writing to support with the relevant background.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, retained and shared. When you use the Service, you acknowledge that uploaded photos and related request data may be sent to hosting, storage, safety and AI model providers where this is needed to carry out the workflow you chose.

9. Service Availability and Changes

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available." Models, features, credit prices, limits and availability may change. To keep the Service secure, reliable, compatible with providers or legally compliant, we may alter, suspend or end parts of it. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or any particular result from a given photo or template.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

As far as the law permits, we disclaim every express or implied warranty, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy of AI outputs. Output from any model is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

As far as the law permits, Tiny Desk MeMe and its affiliates, service providers and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising out of the Service. Rights and liabilities that cannot be excluded by law remain unaffected.

12. Suspension and Termination

You can walk away from the Service whenever you like. On our side, access may be restricted, suspended or ended if we have reasonable grounds to think an account creates a risk of fraud, abuse, a security or legal problem, a payment issue or a policy breach. Account closure and personal-data deletion requests are processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

As the Service, our providers or the law develop, we may amend these Terms. Amended Terms will be published on this page with a new date at the top, and where the law requires it we will give extra notice of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after the new version takes effect means you accept it.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place in which the Service operator is established, without displacing any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Before bringing a formal claim, please contact us and allow us the chance to settle the issue informally.
